19 November - Strong Pitch Trim System Mounting Bracket
  
Strong Pitch Trim mount bracket is made if stainless Steel, and bolted to
the hard point.
1) Looking aft through the nose hatch.
2) Canard removed, you can see the pitch trim bell crank. The pushrod that I am
hold out of the way (top of photo) bolts to the lower lever on the canards
Pitch Trim Bell crank (PTB).
3) Little better view of the Stainless mounting plate.
13 November - Strong Pitch Trim System
 
1) Hard point glassed into the nose section. The upper mount bracket for the
Strong Pitch Trim Actuator will bolt onto this. The original Strong
installation has you glass the bracket in place.
2) I needed another hard point for the Alarm Relay.
   
One of the issues with the retract nose gear doors, occasionally, the gear will
be slightly off center when retracting. If this happens, the axel bolt will
usually catch on the door, and do minor damage. To deflect the tire to the
center, I installed a deflector on each side of the axel.
1) A template made of cardboard, and the two deflectors made of .016 stainless
steel. The stainless has some springiness to it, and it was available.
2) The deflectors are install on both sides. I moved the tire off center to
test the deflector.
3) As the wheel came up, the deflector contacted the door and pushed the tire
toward the center.
4) A view of the deflector, note that it will not touch the aluminum rim if it
gets bent inward as it hits the door.
12 November - Fixed a couple bugs in Waiters Recorder.
The most current version is 3.2.1, dated 12 Nov 2005
I
found three minor problems with the recorder.
1) it wouldn't let you change folders for writing your data.
2) The Grand Rapids OAT data wasn't
decoding correctly.
3) "Real Time" now captures all 64 data transmissions per second
A couple minor fixes, now you can specify any drive and folder to write your
files to. A phone call to Grand Rapids and they gave the correct coding scheme for the OAT
